CSA Announces Election Results

The results are in from the recent election held by the Cryogenic Society of America.

Dr. Al Zeller, FRIB, National Superconducting Cyclotron Lab, MSU, was elected President-Elect, an office he will hold until January 2013, when he will succeed John Urbin, Linde Cryogenics, as President. Louis J. Salerno, NASA Ames, will become Past President of CSA as of January 2011, when Urbin takes office as President.

The following were elected to six-year terms on the board:

Vincent Grillo, Cryofab, Inc.
William Soyars, Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory
Dr. Steven Van Sciver, National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, FSU
Dr. Sidney Yuan, the Aerospace Corporation

Elected to a two-year term was Dr. Fabio Casagrande, Spallation Neutron Source, Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

In other news, Theresa Boehl has been made Editor of CSA’s Cold Facts magazine, succeeding Laurie Huget, who will become Executive Editor.
