Cryocoolers 19 Proceedings Available Now

“Cryocoolers 19,” a 654-page compilation of the proceedings of the 19th International Cryocooler Conference held in San Diego, California, June 20-23, 2016, is now available and has been mailed to registered participants. Published by ICC Press, Boulder, Colorado, and edited by S.D. Miller and R.G. Ross, Jr., the volume features 77 peer-reviewed papers with four-color illustrations. It archives developments and performance measurements in the field of cryocoolers based on the contributions of leading international experts at the conference.

Over the years the International Cryocoolers Conference has become the preeminent worldwide conference for the presentation of the latest developments and test experiences with cryocoolers. The typical applications of this technology include cooling space and terrestrial infrared focal plane arrays, space x-ray detectors, medical applications, and a growing number of high-temperature superconductor applications.

An included CD-ROM features full-text search capabilities and links to online help and support and the conference website, cryocooler.org, a proceedings index and information on copyright. Extra effort has been made to provide a full-text search capability on the CD and website. Within the book itself, a thorough subject index covers the referenced cryocoolers by type and manufacturer’s name, as well as by the scientific or engineering subject matter. Contributing organizations are also listed in the subject index to assist in finding the work of a known institution, laboratory or manufacturer. To aid those attempting to locate a particular contributor’s work, a separate author index is provided, listing all authors and coauthors. Both indexes can be downloaded from the Cryocooler Proceedings website.

The book will be available from Amazon later this spring. ISBN number is 978-1-9340221-05-7. Proceedings from previous years can be ordered from Amazon now.

The proceedings from Cryocoolers 19 can be downloaded at the Cryocoolers Proceedings website. Individual papers can be located via the online Table of Contents. (Proceedings from previous years are also available as PDF downloads).
