Technifab Products (CSA CSM), a producer of cryogenic equipment and systems, released the latest version of their Automatic Fill Station, the AFS-01. The system is designed to fill portable low pressure liquid nitrogen dewars from a pipe system or bulk tank. The AFS-01 puts an emphasis on three main points: eliminating overfill and loss of liquid nitrogen, ease of use while providing a safe and convenient system and compact design that can easily be placed where most convenient.

The system uses a cryogenic sensor to detect a “full” condition and, once full, valves shut off the fill cycle, maintaining the fill pressure of the liquid cylinder. The AFS-01 features systems that allow the end user to safely and precisely operate the station with minimal human interaction.

With Allen Bradley PLC controls, users are able to adjust the maximum time the inlet valve will stay open, set timeout timers and a cryogenic sensor threshold. Status lights, audible alarms, fill shut off timer and emergency stop ensure one of the safest fill stations on the market.
While most of today’s systems are nearly 30 inches wide, making them difficult to install where truly needed, the AFS-01 is a compact and powerful system taking up only 16 inches and ready for installation where required.
