Building Expansion Completed at Cryomech’s New Location

On December 10, Cryomech, Inc. (CSA CSM), a world leader in cryocooler design and fabrication, announced it had officially completed the construction and relocation of its new facility in Syracuse NY— a 76,000-square-foot building that offers enough space for all of the company’s manufacturing, machinery and the “Cryo-Team.” Construction was completed in just over a year.

Cryomech now has the space and infrastructure to plan for the future and strategically grow with their customers at the pace they demand. “After many years of rapid growth, this new facility offers the opportunity for Cryomech’s outside to match the energy inside. The expansion will allow us to have stronger collaboration within our internal teams. It also gives us the opportunity to develop better information and knowledge sharing, which is at the foundation of what makes Cryomech great,” said Tabitha Sebastino, business development manager.

Gifford-McMahon cryocoolers, named for Cryomech’s founder, William Gifford, have been the foundation of low temperature technology for more than 50 years. The company has products operating in more than 50 countries, providing hundreds of end users with custom-built cryocoolers, helium management units, liquid nitrogen plants and cryostats. “We are immensely proud of the global impact we have from right here in Syracuse and look forward to growing our team here for many years to come,” added Sebastino.

The company also noted that the new facility wouldn’t have been possible without the help of building and design partners VIP Structures, which also coordinated electrical work from DEMCO and plumbing by Woodcock and Armani. JPW Riggers provided and installed all the steel for the building and Sedgwick Business Interiors furnished the office space. Cryomech also thanks Koffee King Vending and Food Services for constructing and maintaining the employee vending area.
